Unclaimed Capital Credits - From Retirement Year 2017

Above you will find a link to a list of Unclaimed Capital Credits. It displays members whose check were returned to the Cooperative in the year that it was retired or returned in previous year without an update to the member's address.  This link will be active from May 1 - September 30 each year. If you are on this list, please call our customer service @ (478) 552-2577 to find out how to claim your funds before they are dispursed in accordance with House Bill 431.

In compliance with O.C.G.A. 44-12-236 of the Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act, after five years, the unclaimed capital credits are dispursed of according to Georgia House Bill 431. Washington EMC elects to remit the unclaimed property to the Washington Electric Membership Foundation and our Bright Ideas program for educators in our service territory.
